Scrapbook Pages (Folder 4 of 5), circa 1910-1930

Loose photographs and scrapbook pages of the Whitehurst family in Norfolk, Virginia. Most of the collection consists of fragments of scrapbook pages with photographs still adhered to them. The scrapbook pages appear to have been taken in the early part of the 20th century, with family photographs depicting various subjects such as snow, the beach, fire, a mail truck, a shoe store, amusement parks, a Christmas tree, and both people at home and on vacation. Identified geographic locations of the photographs include Norfolk, Virginia; Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; Woodbury, New Jersey; and Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. Folders 4 and 5 primarily contain late 1980s to early 1990s photographs relating to birthday celebrations of Sidney Whitehurst Britt.
