Research files and other materials compiled by Connie Sage relating to her book Frank Batten, The Untold Story of the Founder of the Weather Channel, published in 2011 by University of Virginia Press. This collection includes biographical materials, interview notes and transcripts, business and personal records, and documents relating to the book's publication. There are also video and audio tapes, photographs, and electronic storage media. These files contain information on Frank Batten when he was chairman of Landmark Communications in Norfolk, Virginia, which included The Virginian-Pilot and Ledger-Star newspapers, among other media outlets. The materials also cover Batten's philanthropic activities.
