A sketch of John J. Borroughs, a prominent clerk of local Virginia courts of law, including the Hustings Court of the City of Norfolk and County Court of Princess Anne, is included. Additionally, a photocopy of an indenture dated 1834 between Willaim Borroughs of Kempsville and Princess Anne County and John Ingram, signed by J. J. Burroughs is also included.
