Research correspondence with the inclusion of notarized statements of record by Mary M. Bailey and Mary Elizabeth Cox post-dated 1951 that certifies the marriage of Elizabeth Staples Cox and William C. Cox of North Carolina. Included in the correspondence is a copy of a family pedigree. Copies of excerpts of will books, will abstracts, and county deed books are included along with copies of wills, a statement by John Cox of General Thomas Matthews' military service during the Revolutionary War, a patent for land to Thomas Cox dated 1782, and a statement presented in the Circuit Court of Simpson County, Kentucky, the military service of Solomo Cox during the Revolutionary War in Norfolk, Virginia and the Battle of Great Bridge.
