"The Bethlehem Cook Book", 1928-1929
Scope and Contents
While predominantly a compilation of recipes provided by church members and advertisements for local businesses, the cook book entitled "The Bethlehem Cook Book" features an introduction and history of the Bethlehem Christian Church, located in present day Suffolk, Virginia, formerly Nansemond County. Additionally, the cook book includes a directory of officers and list of active members of the Ladies' Aid Society of the Bethlehem Christian Church for years 1928-1929, as well as an index of officers, recipes, and advertisers in the back of the book.
