One 1936-1940 scrapbook containing newspaper clippings relating to the history of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Popular topics include plays, engagements, weddings, deaths, notable visitors, Norfolk Botanical Garden, and the First Citizen award. The scrapbook contains one playbill from the 1937 theatrical production of The Lost Colony. Non-local topics in the scrapbook include news on the movie Gone With the Wind and the actress Shirley Temple.
