1970s cardboard panels with pasted photographs featuring houses and buildings in the neighborhoods of Ghent and Freemason in Norfolk, Virginia. Some panels also include small maps highlighting the buildings photographed. Panels include overlapping 3.5 x 5" photographs, generally providing a "street view" of that particular street. Panels typically include the name of the primary street next to the panel number.

Booklets, correspondence, maps, city council records, clippings, and other materials relating to parking in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Most documents are from 1952-1953 and concern B. M. Stanton's initial refusal to sell off his land to the City of Norfolk for municipal parking.

Two aerial photographs of Fort Norfolk, one circa 1950 aerial photograph of the Hermitage Museum and Gardens, one circa 1950 poster featuring burlesque star Rose La Rose, one bird's-eye view of Hampton Roads featuring the original James River Bridge, and one print of the Hampton Roads Rowing Club. Maps of Norfolk and the Hampton Roads area collected by the City of Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia. A majority of the maps are from the 1950s-1960s and were created by the City Planning Commission.

Annexation reports of the City of Norfolk, Virginia regarding the proposed annexations of Norfolk County and Princess Anne County from the late-1940s to 1950s. The reports include statistics, charts, maps, and surveys relating to land use, industrial development, population, schools, public works, taxation, and other related subjects.

This collection includes 35mm color photographic slides documenting development projects in downtown Norfolk, Virginia and in various city neighborhoods, development planning studies and projects around the city, and planning-related maps and graphics. Some aerial photographs are included. Some slides are missing.
