Clippings (information artifacts)

Photographs, clippings, and miscellaneous papers of Alison Jehu "Preacher" and Ella Ward Parsons of Norfolk, Virginia. Several items relate to the couple's involvement in camellia societies such as the American Camellia Society and Virginia Camellia Society. The collection also includes the Fall 2005 edition of The Norfolk Foundation, which highlights the Parsons' legacy to the foundation.

One obituary for Lewis Roberts Binford and one manuscript "Civil War Reminiscences" by George Henry Brown, relating his experiences as a teenager in Petersburg from 1861-1865.

One 1966 scrapbook of newspaper clippings from The Virginian-Pilot, Ledger-Star, The Richmond News Leader, and Richmond Times Dispatch about planning for the Norfolk Coliseum, or Scope, by Italian engineer Pier Luigi Nervi. There are also many articles about the beginnings of the Richmond Coliseum.
