Paul L. Rose Scrapbook
One circa 1902-1930 scrapbook of newspaper clippings, correspondence, certificates, business cards, handwritten search warrants, and lists of police officers on duty, relating to Norfolk police detective Paul L. Rose of Norfolk, Virginia. Topics in the scrapbook include murderer Leo Cuthbert Thurman, politics, and crime. The scrapbook spans the career of Paul Rose as a detective and primarily includes clippings of crimes in the Norfolk area.

Contains a variety of ephemeral materials relating to Norfolk history and culture. Prominent subjects in the collection include Biographies, Buildings, Businesses, Churches, Clubs and Organizations, Colleges, Museums (especially the Chrysler Museum), Neighborhoods, and Schools. The bulk of the materials are from the 1950s-1980s, although there is a strong representation of materials dating from the 1920s to 2014.
