The photographs include two images of the pond with waterfowl and tiered fountain in the center, interior and exterior shots of the greenhouse, and a caged bear. The photographs were created from the five negatives that accompany the collection.

Approximately 350 negatives featuring aerial photographs of downtown Norfolk, Virginia between 1963 and 1975. The negatives include shots of City Hall, coal piers, merchandise piers, Ghent, Old Dominion University, and Foreman Field. There are also a few scenes of rural Virginia Beach, Virginia.

One circa 1965-1970 realtor listings notebook, business cards, and ephemera from Ernest P. Gretes of Norfolk, Virginia. The notebook includes detailed listings for individual properties with an accompanying black-and-white photograph of the property on the reverse side. The collection also includes family photographs and one 1964 yearbook The Acorn from Carolton Oaks School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Photographs, commencement programs, and reunion materials of Herbert Gygi, who graduated in 1935 from Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia. The collection also includes photographs of Gygi as a senior cadet at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1939 and various photographs taken on September 12, 1940 in Narrows, Virginia.
