Naval aviation

Fifty circa 1900-1960 family photographs featuring the Boren, Felce, and Willingham families, primarily in Ocean View, Norfolk, Virginia. Many of the photographs were taken of or by Anthony Felce in the late 1950s and early 1960s and feature a plane crash on Granby Street and various scenes of Ocean View.

Twelve 1945 photographs taken on June 16 and August 30, primarily featuring scenes of sailors and civilians amid naval aircraft, male sailors and female WAVES walking in formation, and naval aircraft releasing smoke screen into the sky.

Correspondence, clippings, photographs, programs, and other materials relating to Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base, dedication of the historical marker for Operation Torch, Admiral H. Kent Hewitt, naval aviation, the reunion of military members involved in Operation Torch, and the unveiling of the historical marker "Birthplace of Naval Aviation."
