One 1953-1958 scrapbook containing Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia newspaper clippings and advertisements relating to the Building, Savings & Loan Associations of Norfolk, particularly the Commonwealth Building and Loan Association, Inc. The scrapbook includes articles on Edward E. Edgar and his column Fins, Furs & Feathers, and one page dedicated to Minnie Mangum.

Most of the photographs identify Thomas family members in Martinsburg, and include other individuals with surnames Baker, Beall, Beck, Parker, and Potter. The collection also includes working cards, a baby book, postcard, directory, pair of eyeglasses, and letter written in shorthand.
