One 1891-1898 ledger of employees' names and account balances with an alphabetical index in front of the volume. Some employees are listed as cooks, bellboys, and waiters. The ledger is likely from the Atlantic Hotel in downtown Norfolk, Virginia.

Twelve 1911 photographs and four 1924 photographs featuring scenes from the Oceanfront at Virginia Beach, Virginia. Subjects include the United States Life Saving Station, the Arlington Hotel, Virginia Beach Public Library, and ship figureheads "Miss Dictator" and the "Norwegian Lady."

Seven 1918 photographs of the Monticello Hotel and adjacent buildings during the fire on January 1 and aftermath. Some photographs feature a fire truck with attached fire ladder covered in icicles in front of the building. Identifiable building signs include Norfolk County Farms and Monticello Hotel Barber Shop.

Featured buildings and businesses include Sea Mist Motel & Kitchen Apartments, Ocean View Motel, Rich's Hamburgers, Dixie's Grocery, Bay-Terrace Apartments, 7-Eleven, Coral Isle Motel Apartments, Tides Apartments and Rooms, Crestview Apartments, and Inter-State Motel.

One book titled Art Work of Norfolk and Vicinity (Virginia), Portsmouth, Newport News, Berkley, Hampton, Old Point Comfort, published in 1895 by H. W. Kennicott & Co. The book has been disassembled and several sheets are missing. The content includes "A Sketch of Norfolk and Vicinity," and primarily includes circa 1895 prints of notable local places.

The collection includes business records in ledgers and cashbooks, including account information, bills, licenses, bonds, checks, ledgers, and notes associated with the operation of the Atlantic Hotel from 1872-1901.
