Booklets, brochures, guidebooks, postcards, reports, commemorative coins and plates, official publications, and other miscellaneous printed ephemera relating to the celebration of America's 400th anniversary in Jamestown, Virginia. The collection also includes materials relating to other events in the Hampton Roads region in 2007.

Scope and Contents Maps, books, booklets, pamphlets, photographs, postcards, souvenir artifacts, newspapers, and other printed ephemera relating to Norfolk, Hampton Roads, and Virginia from the mid-nineteenth to early twenty-first centuries. Most of the materials date from the 1920s to 1970s, although a significant number of items relate to the Jamestown Exposition of 1907. More than seven hundred maps, arranged in nine series to include the United States and East Coast (subdivided by region), Virginia and Regional, Hampton Roads (subdivided by locality, agency, and map type), Nautical Charts, Geological Maps, Aerial Photographs, Atlases, and Genealogies.

Scope and Contents This collection is comprised of material relative to local history of the Tidewater region of Virginia, to include Jamestown, Suffolk, and the general Hampton Roads area, as well as the greater Virginia and West Virginia regions. Primary collection materials are ephemera from the 400th Anniversay Celebration event honoring Jamestown, Virginia, which includes brochures, guides, commemorative pins, a fan, admission tickets and bracelets, cachets, maps, and program guides.
