1950s Miscellaneous Vacation Photographic Slides
This collection includes 2.25" color photographic slides and associated notes identifying subjects and locations. These materials appear to be vacation photographs from around 1960. Most of the slides are mounted in cardboard frames; some are mounted between glass plates.
Circa 1975 Willard Junior High School Slides
Circa 1975 slides featuring scenes at Willard Junior High School in Norfolk, Virginia. A significant number of slides feature a ceremony in the gymnasium for the National Junior Honor Society, Trojan Chapter. Other images include principals, staff, students, classes, lunch, library, and outdoors.
Norfolk Public Schools Photographic Slides
Twenty-eight slides featuring prominently African American schools during the 1950s in Norfolk, Virginia. There are also images of prominent local figures during the ceremonies marking the demolition of S. C. Armstrong School in January 1953. Some of the slides have "Willie Mae Watson" printed on the reverse side.
