Slides (photographs)

The collection consists of approximately 21,000 35mm color photographic slides of various neighborhoods and development projects around Norfolk, Virginia. Also covered are historical sites around the city, copy images of historical drawings and photographs, informational presentations, maps, and NRHA meetings and events. Most slides date from 1960-1990, although historical content dates to circa 1900-1920.

This collection includes documents relating to the Rotary Club of Norfolk's history and organization, charitable programs, membership, meetings, and budget. It also includes newsletters, scrapbooks, photographs, and artifacts.

Primarily 1920s-1930s correspondence, reports, and other records from Thomas P. Thompson's tenure as City Manager for the City of Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia. This collection also includes records from Thompson's business and civic activities, personal correspondence, photographs, and other miscellaneous materials from the early to mid-20th century.
