One 1861 letter requesting more Union troops in Norfolk, Virginia and the Navy Yard in Portsmouth, Virginia.

One book titled Art Work of Norfolk and Vicinity (Virginia), Portsmouth, Newport News, Berkley, Hampton, Old Point Comfort, published in 1895 by H. W. Kennicott & Co. The book has been disassembled and several sheets are missing. The content includes "A Sketch of Norfolk and Vicinity," and primarily includes circa 1895 prints of notable local places.

Typed copies of documents relating to Captain Arthur Emmerson between 1795 and 1864, including general orders, military correspondence, records of military pay, and a supplement to an eyewitness account of the Battle of Craney Island. A majority of the documents were written between 1813 and 1835.

Twenty-five love letters between Jesse V. Bassett and Elizabeth Daisy Cross. The letters begin in the early days of the couple's courtship in 1886; two letters were written after the couple married. Most of the love letters are from Jesse V. Bassett.

One circa 1984-2014 album containing clippings, photographs, programs, flyers, and related ephemera of the British Isles Dancers of Norfolk. The album is organized thus: Introduction; Dance Demonstrations; Parties, Celebrations, and Balls; Honoring Our Members from the Military; The Torch is Passed; and An Assortment of Dance "Flyers." The dances and celebrations were held at various locations in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Portsmouth, Virginia.

Receipts pasted into a scrapbook ranging in date from 1856-1898, primarily belonging to C. W. Murdaugh of Portsmouth, Virginia. Most of the receipts are from Portsmouth and Norfolk, Virginia. Some receipts belonged to Miss, Mrs., and James Murdaugh.

Mid-1940s correspondence, largely from secretary Don C. Harrison regarding memberships and annual dues to the Charles H. Consolvo Tent of the Circus Saints and Sinners Club of America in Norfolk, Virginia. The collection includes a few ephemeral items from 1940 to 1951 including a menu, booklet, and newspaper clipping.

One 1953-1958 scrapbook containing Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia newspaper clippings and advertisements relating to the Building, Savings & Loan Associations of Norfolk, particularly the Commonwealth Building and Loan Association, Inc. The scrapbook includes articles on Edward E. Edgar and his column Fins, Furs & Feathers, and one page dedicated to Minnie Mangum.

One 1923-1925 ledger belonging to Crocker & Crocker, Attorneys-at-Law of Portsmouth, Virginia. The book contains title-related information, including lists of adverse conveyances, judgements, handwritten copies of deeds of trust, and sketches of properties.
