Allmand Family Papers
Primarily nineteenth century correspondence, legal documents, memorandums, photographs, and miscellaneous papers from the Allmand Family of Norfolk, Virginia. Also includes three 1828-1843 ledger books of John Allmand, one 1837-1840 letter book of John Allmand, and one book of religious interpretation, likely written by Reverend John Singer Wallace. This collection also includes legal documents from the Estate of William Keeling and the Stone family.
Arthur Emmerson Collection
Typed copies of documents relating to Captain Arthur Emmerson between 1795 and 1864, including general orders, military correspondence, records of military pay, and a supplement to an eyewitness account of the Battle of Craney Island. A majority of the documents were written between 1813 and 1835.

One photograph album featuring 52 circa 1870s-1900s photographs of the Canoles family of Norfolk, Virginia. The collection also contains two circa 1900 photographs of the Edward Canoles family, three circa 1940s-1950s photographs of unknown individuals, and the 1978 draft will and 1979 newspaper obituary notice for Irene Gray Parker of Norfolk, Virginia.
