Norfolk, Virginia Prescription Book
Scope and Contents
One October 3, 1895 to March 30, 1897 prescription book from Norfolk, Virginia. The prescription book is approximately 350 pages and contains about 4,900 prescriptions pasted onto the pages from various doctors, primarily Dr. H. R. Drewry on Bowden's Ferry Road, Dr. H. R. Dupuy at 150 Main Street, and Dr. C. F. Newbill at 168 Main Street. The inside front cover is labeled, "Winser's Patent Back Prescription Book, Number 6, From C. C. Bartgis & Bro., Druggists, Label, Printers, Baltimore, MD." Each prescription is numbered between 4,830 and 9,719.
