Robert R. Rakestraw Log Book
Scope and Contents
One January 16, 1918 to April 9, 1918 daily log book featuring notes written by either James L. Hudgins, Inspector or Robert R. Rakestraw, Construction Engineer for Standard Oil Company. Even-numbered pages identify the date and a version of the line, "Record of materials excavated at Pine Beach Fuel Oil Station" along with lists of numbered scows and times recorded. The odd-numbered adjacent pages feature specific times of day along with a version of the line, "by Dredge #7 for Standard Oil Company, Sewell's Point, Virginia" and numbers representing yardage capacity.
