The book has been disassembled and several sheets are missing. The content includes "A Sketch of Norfolk and Vicinity," and primarily includes circa 1895 prints of notable local places.

Two front-and-back scrapbook pages featuring 24 circa 1916-1917 photographs of an unidentified family or families visiting Norfolk, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Photographs include people at the beaches in Virginia Beach and Ocean View, exterior shots of buildings Hotel Chamberlain at Old Point Comfort and Coast Guard School Building at Fortress Monroe, and individual shots of a man and woman on a nature walk. At least six photographs are missing from the pages.

A map inside the booklet shows the location of Hotel Chamberlin, ferry and steamboat routes, railroads, and Civil War battlefields. A 1906 map in the middle of the booklet by George F. Adams shows the hotel across from the Jamestown Exposition in Norfolk, Virginia. The booklet advertises the historic area surrounding Hampton Roads, the luxurious features of the hotel, and the Jamestown Exposition.
