Margery Eldredge Howell Papers
Scope and Contents
Poems by Mary Eldredge Howell from approximately 1907 to 1946. The collection contains both handwritten and typescript copies of her poems, with typescript materials frequently cross-referenced to the four handwritten composition books. Also, one September 1936 - May 1941 minute book from the Writers' Club of Norfolk and one 1899-1907 photograph album. The album contains photographs of Margery Eldredge Howell, family and friends, and various scenes in Norfolk, Virginia; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Hampton, Virginia; Battery Park, New York; Coney Island, New York; Madison, New Jersey; Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Derby, Connecticut; Sugar Hill, New Hampshire; and Williamstown, Massachusetts.
