1800s Cookbook
One 1800s handwritten cookbook filled with recipes for breads, cakes, puddings, pies, cookies, and pickles. The cookbook also contains a remedy for the summer complaint and a clipping on poisons and antidotes.

This collection includes 2.25" color photographic slides and associated notes identifying subjects and locations. These materials appear to be vacation photographs from around 1960. Most of the slides are mounted in cardboard frames; some are mounted between glass plates.

One circa 1935-1952 scrapbook of Albert Preston Breeden's travels to conferences for the Shriners and the Municipal Finance Officers' Association and one 1962 scrapbook featuring A. Preston Breeden's retirement from service as City Auditor for the City of Norfolk, Virginia. Scrapbook items include newspaper clippings, photographs, postcards, correspondence, theater programs, and other mementos.
Amelia E. Hitchings Collection on Ruby Martha Etheridge
Primarily includes papers from the 1990s collected or written by Amelia E. Hitchings relating to her mother, Ruby Martha Etheridge. The papers relate to Etheridge's life and character, mostly as remembered by her daughter. A majority of materials are photocopies and include handwritten and typed correspondence, certificates, clippings, and published materials.

Also includes one newspaper clipping, three envelopes addressed to Belle Tunstall, and an 1878 note from the Norfolk Treasurer's office for H. Proescher to attend a meeting of the Common Council.
