One 1831-1837 diary recounting Thomas L. Robertson's thoughts and experiences. Most diary entries include information about sermons preached at Christ Church in Norfolk, Virginia. Entries also focus on deaths of local individuals and Robertson's own failing health. Includes separate correspondence found in diary as well as some transcribed diary entries.

The first page of autographs list the officers of the 1901 Virginia Constitutional Convention: President John Goode, Secretary Joseph Button, and Vice President William A. Anderson.
Virginia Gordan Scrapbooks
Two 1860-1864 scrapbooks created by Virginia Gordan of Norfolk, Virginia containing clippings detailing the events of the Civil War, particularly the Confederacy. Scrapbook 1 was originally a circa 1852 account book belonging to Virginia Gordan's father, John Dozier Gordan, for his banking business at 29 Market Square.

Correspondence, diaries, clippings, military service records, and an 1864 register of Confederate officers in the Civil War. Most of the materials date between 1863 and 1865 and concern the Conderate Navy's operations in England and France.
