Registered Bonds of the City of Norfolk For the Purpose of Erecting Water Works
Scope and Contents
One circa 1886-1912 book of registered bonds for the City of Norfolk, Virginia for the purpose of erecting water works. The volume indicates bond number, denomination, date of register, to whom the bond was registered, name of Water Commission Treasurer, date of transfer, to whom the bond was transferred, and a second column for name of Treasurer. The book contains entries through page 25. There are also loose legal documents in the volume, mostly concerning the transfer of bonds and establishing powers of attorney for said bonds.
