Norfolk Athenaeum Records
One 1815-1842 volume containing minutes of the Norfolk Athenaeum in Norfolk, Virginia. The book also includes a typescript copy of the act passed by the General Assembly that chartered the organization, an original listing of books of the Norfolk Athenaeum (divided by books which could be circulated among the subscribers and those which should remain in the Room), and several pages from the auctioning of books when the group formally disbanded in 1842.
Robert B. Taylor Receipts
Seventeen receipts belonging to Robert B. Taylor, dating from 1820 to 1830. Receipts are for a wide variety of items including food, revenue taxes, boot repairs, postage, shoes, schooner transport of a barouche, repair of riding equipment, debts owed, small home-related repairs, an assurance policy, and sale of stock in the Dismal Swamp Land Company. Also includes two oversized receipts from the Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia.

One 1855-1859 ledger comprised of judges' names, lists of individuals raising certain crops or livestock, and inventories of crops and equipment. Geographical locations listed in the volume include areas around Tidewater Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, including Suffolk, Nansemond, Chuckatuck, and Mathews in Virginia and Gates, North Carolina.
